Cross Cultural Café

We are happy to announce our “Cross Cultural Café” project with a series of five events listed below:

 

1. Cultural Childhood Games, May 2024 

2. Cross-Cultural Craft Workshop, July 2024 

3. Storytelling from Immigrant Families, November 2024  

4. Cross-Cultural Women’s Gathering, March 2025  

5. Food Traditions Around the World, May 2025 

 

Our series’ name, “Cross-Cultural Café,” works toward the goal of a permanent future Cross-Cultural Center in Bellevue.

Welcome to our first free Cultural Childhood Games event from our series of five!

​

Time & Location

May 20,  2024, Monday, 5:00 pm-8:00 pm 

Gymnasium in Legacy Homeschool

15815 SE 37th St, Bellevue, WA 98006

Parking: Stay to the right as you enter the main parking lot and drive to the furthest entrance. 

 

About the event

Event for all Families with kids any age.

  • 5:00 pm - Doors Open. Appetizers & Desserts. Registration for games in the gym.

  • 5:30 pm - Open Program

  • 5:45-7:30 -  in the gym  families with kids age 7+, will play Korean, Ukrainian, Filipino, Eritrean games, and a big group game at the end.

  • 5:00-8:00 pm - in the lobby - Korean, Ukrainian, Filipino, and Eritrean cultural tables, Board games, Live music, Crafts and Fellowship for all who will not play games in the gym.

 

Kids and parents will have an opportunity to play Cultural Childhood  Games in the gym by registration right before the game, OR to play Cultural Board Games in the lobby with no registration!  

 

The event will be led by youth, and people who identify with the cultures we are exploring in the event.

 

One of our partner Korean Women’s Association will share information about their service on their KWA table in lobby:  https://www.kwacares.org/

 

We encourage you to bring and share your cultural desserts for Potluck (INGREDIENTS REQUIRED!)  and dress in your culture’s clothes, or have cultural elements on clothing if possible. 

Please don’t worry if you are not able to bring food or come “culturally dressed.”

The importanteng is to be together and share your presence. All of you are very welcome!

  • All families

  • All who are interested in being in a Cross-Cultural platform, would like to meet new people, and enjoy multicultural gatherings even if you will not play games.
