About the event

On May 16, 2022, the Bellevue City Council approved the recommendations of the Phase III Feasibility Study to move forward on creating a Bellevue Cross-Cultural Center. This is very happy news for those who have advocated for a center for many years. The draft Phase III Feasibility Report can be seen at City of Bellevue - File #: 22-407 (legistar.com).

As community members in full support of the concept, we have established a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization to continue this advocacy. We invite all who have an interest in the center to get acquainted, share ideas, and begin building sustained support for the center.

We believe the best way to build together is come together often for refreshments & conversation!

Please join us for this first of monthly gatherings and help us demonstrate how dynamic a cross-cultural center can be. We’ll imagine we’re in a cross-cultural center with Ukrainian pastries and demonstrations of making Yemeni coffee and Chinese and Indian teas. You’re invited to bring brochures or posters about your organization for our community information tables. If someone in your community has written a history of your family or community, bring it! Make a poster board depicting your family or community history. You’ll have an opportunity to describe what you think a center should include and how we can help sustain it.

We look forward to seeing you!
